Rec - Darker than Black

The SO and I finished watching Darker Than Black, and we still like it a lot. It's not slashy, it's not a pairing fest, it's just an interesting sci-fi drama that grabs your curiosity and teases out its answers a little at a time through 25 eps, most of them forming mini 2-part story arcs for convenient watching :-) Some great characters, some humour that isn't annoying or overwhelming to lighten it up, and most importantly, it doesn't have one of those trippy anime endings that fails to explain anything! It does however, confirm yet again that an anime's second opening theme will always be inferior to the first....

In other news, the bathroom now has a window, cabinets and quite a lot of the tiling is done. It's not going to be finished in a week, but it shouldn't run over by too much. I'm all excited, I want to see my new bath!

And in other other news, that most likely only person here will understand, my PERM application was submitted yesterday, yay.

I downloaded Darker Than Black about ... oh, at least half a year ago, for reasons I can't remember, but I keep meaning to watch it and haven't got around to it yet. I guess I'll put it higher on the list of priorities, because this does sound like I'll enjoy it.

The mention of trippy anime endings would seem to call for an NGE icon, but (strange, I know) I don't have one.

I don't have an NGE icon either. There are lots of shows I've watched and loved, even fangirled, that I have no icons for. But then my icon-making comes in very short phases, when I'm not in the middle of writing....

Congrats on getting this far in your application process, that's quite a feat! From here, it should be much easier going :) *crosses fingers and toes for you*

How dusty are your fuzzy kids? Are they still able to enjoy getting up into the attic to play with the dust bunnies?

Yeah, once the PERM's been accepted, the rest is really just paperwork processing. Lengthy paper work processing, but processing all the same!

The bathroom is now largely intact, and has working doors and walls on all fronts, so the only dust the cats can now acquire is that which has spread its way around the house. That is, however, still quite a lot of dust....
