OK, I know I'm behind here, and after more than one friend gave me the tip-off long ago about the book, but... yeah. I watched ep 1 of Dexter in a constant state of glee, and I waited to watch ep 2 to be sure, and, oh yeah! A twisted comedy about a psychopath? Who kills other psychopaths? I'm right there, guys! Why isn't everyone watching this series?

I am, and I'm enjoying the series, a few minor quibble aside. They just renewed it for a second season, too.

Yeah, I heard that too. Obviously some people are watching it :-) I do love Michael C Hall - I loved him in Six Feet Under, and I love him even more now!

Oh, I definitely like him better in Dexter - there's not the desire to smack him around so much (which would be a bad thing, all in all).

I just hope the author puts out another book soon, which would be a great basis for the third season!

Dexter is a comedy? I'm not sure if that makes the concept scarier or not...

Would you believe that I've only just *now* understood this icon of yours? I may be slow, but at least I'm very amused now. :-)

It might be pushing it a bit to call it a comedy, but there's so much black humour in there, it's a little hard not to! There's a lot of drama, too, but it's the dialogue that really nails it :-)

Those lyrics were just too appropriate for Sands, ripped wildly out of context XD

That's 'sociopath' to you, missy!

I'm watching. And having great fun. I also bought the first book and finished it last night. :-)

Why am I not surprised it appeals to you? XD I'd definitely check out the books, if I didn't already have an enormous 'to read' pile, and little reading time.

Actually, I'd have read them a year or two back, if it wasn't for those issues.

You could try the Wiki. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dexter_(TV_series)) Less pretty, but the info's there.

Obviously Showtime don't want everyone in the world to go out and bittorrent it before they get off their bums and get around to selling it overseas. How optimistic of them.

Seriously, TV companies really need to start adapting their practices to a small, high speed world. And not by cutting everbody else out....

Sorry to spam your journal, but I wanted to say that Jack and I enjoyed your (and your husbands), company throughout the evening. I have possibly two or three photos you might be interested in. I took very few photos of the evening, which is most unusual. I could only chance to guess that it was simply camera envy. Displaying my 'brick' of a camera, in a sea of 5 mega pixels and better, put me to shame.

Lovely to meet you and your fellow, and as it was inappropriate to say while I was lacing you up in your corset. You are simply gorgeous.

Hey, it was great to meet you too! It was a really fun evening, pity my exhaustion made me have to bail before it ended. I'd love to see any pics you took - I'm still sorting out the dogs from mine, and then I'll give a disc to Nicole to share around.

I know what you mean about the cameras - the technology advances so fast now, an 18 month old piece of kit doesn't look quite the dog's bollocks any more! XD And thanks for the compliment, though those dresses tend to make anyone look fantastic. Which isn't to be in any way negative when I say you looked amazing in yours - great cleavage, and nice to see someone else sticking with their own hair!

And seriously, don't worry about inappropriate with me - if you've taken more than a cursory glance at this LJ, you'll have found inappropriate in spades! XD I'll assume you're okay with that, or people wouldn't have revealed to you my Sekrit Identity ;-)
