The worst thing about having a cold...

...is when you drive to the pharmacy to get some drugs to let you sleep without a snotty nose and somebody rear-ends you on the way.
Note to 17-year old blonde girls driving Daddy's BMW - you might want to stop for the pedestrians at the crossing when all the other cars do. Preferably using the brakes.

Date: 2006-03-12 02:11 pm (UTC)Saw in your comments above that you weren't hurt and that your car just needs some minor repairs. Just be thankful that it wasn't the Seven you were in when this happened! XD
Hope the medicine will make you feel better even if all the insurance crap won't. *hugs*

Date: 2006-03-12 02:48 pm (UTC)I am glad I wasn't in the Seven - not because I would have come to any harm, because I wouldn't, but waiting for parts to ship from overseas to fix imported cars is a real drag!

Date: 2006-03-12 04:05 pm (UTC)Oh, yeah, the BMW is going to need pretty much an entire new front end, the bonnet was bent too *eg*

Date: 2006-03-12 05:12 pm (UTC)You're the second person I know of to have been rear-ended this weekend. WTF?

Date: 2006-03-12 05:23 pm (UTC)Some advice from the police end of things--check with her insurance company and make sure that she gave you real info and actually does have updated insurance. If she gave you fake info, you have 48 hours from the accident to call the police to file a hit and run police report. If they just don't have current insurance, then it could get really messy if they refuse to pay...
Don't want to be a downer, but as a recent transplant, thought you might like the tip. Hopefully you won't have to use it!
