Link taken from [livejournal.com profile] mamishka, because everyone needs to see this.

So someone said, 'I know! Best thing evah! Let's make a giant pink rabbit! And, um, leave it on a hillside to rot!'

And then someone else said, 'Dude! Great idea!!! That'll rock everyone's world!'

And then some local councilman said, 'Of course you guys can leave it on our mountain peak to be seen for miles around. It totally won't be an eyesore at all!'

That's got to be the weirdest thing I've heard going on outside California....

Wow. . .

You sure that isn't here in California? ~_^ Don't tell me we're outsourcing weirdness now. XD

I think the Italians have been demonstrably barking for years. Can't speak for the Austrians....

Did you know that in the Austrian Alps, there's a mountain called Wank? I'm thinking of living there someday ~_^ j/k but seriously, look up "Wank" on Wikipedia and you'll see it. A few clicks will take you to the community's site, and from there you can find pics of people riding tram cars with "Wankbahn" splashed across the front.

*dies laughing*

Hee. I might move to either someday, if the US stays in this spiral it's in. *deep sigh* You hear Bush could be boozing it up again?

OOOOOOOHHHH!!!!! I heard about it on NPR on the way home from work, and I was thinking "there's got to be a picture online somewhere" - and thanks to you and meems, there it is.

The best part on the radio was the Italian lady explaining how you could climb on it, but it you weren't careful you might fall into the mouth, "and it's very deep!" (She later assured us that it was very PLEASANT in the mouth.)

OK, now you're taking this places I really wasn't expecting it to go! Guess that's inevitable with you around XD

Apparently it's been eviscerated. All that stuff between it's left arm and leg....

For once it wasn't my country's bad idea, at least.

Don't know about the french part (imported wool, maybe?), but that's one dead bunny.

That's just... that's... see, at Burning Man we do this shit for a week but then we set it on fire!

It's too early for giant pink rotting bunnies.

If they were going to set it on fire, that might make it worth it. But leaving it go all wet and mouldy? I miss the appeal.

Yeah... and the idea that hikers will want to climb on what will essentially be the mouldy mattress they find in the woods?

Ew.

I say burn it. And that's only my response to most things, thankyouverymuch!

I take it no-one in Austria was willing to volunteer them a site for the bloody thing, so they had to look over the border.

Seriously. I mean, it's a GIANT stuffed bunny. And they expect it to last 20 years? Just wait until after the first rain. See how many people want to climb and visit it when it's molding.

I'd have to be desperate before I'd suck anything from that. Really desperate.
