The local Caterham dealer decided to arrange a tour for Seven owners - one day driving over to eastern Washington, two days out there and a day driving back. What a fun idea for a long weekend! So that's what we did the first weekend of June (yes, that was a month ago now - the idea was we'd all pool our photos and videos and I'd make a post once everything was in, but there's little sign of that actually happening).

The first day, we had nine Sevens accumulate in a park in Sultan for the drive over to Cle Elum via Leavenworth. While we were there, a man pulled in driving an SUV with his family and he said, 'I have a Seven! I've been looking for a Caterham club around here!" So we made sure he got a card.

A chain of Sevens along Highway 2.

We had dinner the first evening at the Red Horse Diner in Ellensburg (or outside it, since they they have that option). They'd coned off a section of their car park just for us, so when we arrived we could all line up right outside.

The Red Horse Diner has also preserved its old adjoining filling station, which is now where they have their bar.

By Saturday morning, the number of Sevens had grown to thirteen. Drone shot if us all at the Wild Horse Monument.

Black CSR with a front spoiler :-)

When we arrived for Saturday evening's dinner in Cle Elum, we were accosted by a man who said, "I just bought a Seven! I'm building it right now!" So he got a card for the future too. There are more weirdos out there obsessed with strange little British cars than you think there are.

Sunday rest stop at Potlatch State Park. When there aren't enough parking spaces, Sevens make their own. The mid-engined Corvette belongs to our organising dealer - the only Caterham he owns is a race car not licensed for the road, so he brought a different toy on the trip.

Monday lunch spot on the way back home, in the Cascades foothills.

At the restaurant, we met a professional wedding photographer, who was British, and raved over the cars - she offered to photograph them for us for free. By that time, we were down to four Sevens, as some had left on Sunday, and others had already headed off to different parts of the state.

She was clearly very good with Photoshop. After four days of driving around scrub desert, the cars were nothing like this clean and shiny.

A shot with the owners, catching me with my typical RBF.

The last few Sevens (and Corvette sheepdog) at Chinook Pass, Mount Rainier (Tahoma) National Park. The pass had only opened about a week before, which makes sense when you see there was still snow at road level.

The weather was gorgeous all four days, nobody broke down and only one of us got pulled over by a cop (and he got away without a ticket), so it went well! There are vague plans to do something similar next year.

I'm glad you had fun and perfect weather and scenery!

I saw you had a video about it up, but love you though I do, I'm afraid watching other people's cars go vroom vroom is a little outside my interest level ;)

Great photos and you do not have RBF!
