They've settled in nicely :-)

They both love to purr. The male cat pushes his head into our hands when we're stroking him - Boog used to do that.

Kuro has sniffed at them through a cracked open door without any obvious agitation from anyone. Hopefully we can get them integrated without too much fuss.

Are they siblings? And have you named them yet?

They've made themselves right at home, I see :) Such pretty kitties.

They are brother and sister, yes. They came with the names Holly and Hershey, but those aren't staying. It's pretty likely they're going to end up as Yami and Neko (yes, I know Solo called her black cat Yami too, but we've had a Kuro for 13 years, and the Japanese names seemed to stick best when were tossing around ideas...)

A house without cats is a sad house IMO. Fortunately my SO and I are on the same page there! We're taking it slowly with the integration, because one bad impression can stick for a long time....

Kuro definitely has reservations. He's interested in them and wants to sniff at them, but he also wants to back away after the sniffing and ponder. And then a bit later he wants to sniff again. But the lack of hostility continues, and we make sure the meetings remain small doses and anyone can back away at any time, and that should work over time.

They do like to hurl themselves among the cat trees! They also haven't figured out what shadows are yet, and if you wave a toy above their heads, they're just as likely to attack the carpet...
