Brazil's Supreme Court ruled 10-0 today to give same-sex couples all the same legal rights as married heterosexuals.

Wait.... isn't that a nation of mainly Catholics?

Hey, United States of America, with your claims to stand for freedom and justice - isn't it time you caught up with the civilised world?

Hear, hear! It's more than past time for the US to stand up as a whole and do the right thing :)

And there they are in Texas today, putting more obstacles in the way of women who choose to have an abortion ::sigh:: I don't think I'll hold my breath....

Yeah, we don't have a very good track record these days do we? If being Catholic doesn't stop them, what's our excuse?

isn't it time you caught up with the civilised world?

Yes, on gay rights, and also with regard to infrastructure, education... I could go on.

Seriously. It's awesome to see Catholic countries completely ignoring those idiots in the Vatican to do what is obviously socially just. I'm just not sure why the Protestants, with far less strict edicts, can't do the same.
