Our new computers arrived today. Opening the boxes, they are both the most vibrant My Little Pony pink. Checking the order email, the SO discovers that yes, he did accidentally order them in shocking pink. Of all the colour choices to be stuck with for the next few years...

The SO insists that, of all the colours he browsed through, the only one he was adamant he didn't want was the pink. The new machines have a see-through side, with big fans and glowing blue neon, which would be awesome but for the OMG PINK!

Aside from the shocking pinkness of the outside, what's on the inside?

Pictures might have to wait until software installation has finished - currently my machine is telling me 5 hours to install LOTR online. Good thing I started it before bed....

Inside is a 1.5 TB hard drive( plus the old one from the previous machine), with a Core i5 2500K and 8GB of RAM. Which makes it about 8 times faster than the old machine. I'm hoping this will mean my graphics card no longer occasionally resets while I'm playing MMOs!

With a Core i5 processor and8 gigs of RAM, your graphics card shouldn't even think of a hiccup. Despite the color I hope it works flawlessly for you for years to come.

If you don't like the color so much, are you thinking of changing cases? They're a dime a dozen these days :)

There's often a cat sitting on top of mine, so that will disguise it further. Since the new ones do not have vents on top, the cat will not be as inhibiting as it was for the old computer!

We got them from cyberpower.com, and they seem to be as advertised.
