If any of the kind souls who provided their opinions have any interest at all, we bought a Bosch. This one.

So far we are most pleased with it, though only time will tell on the breaking down side!

Very cool on the washer and all the specs. OUCH on the price! But then again you do get what you pay for. :)

Well, we didn't pay that much for it, I promise you! We got it in the sale from Sears, and then our electricity company gave us a $100 rebate on it for buying an energy efficient model. We paid a little over $600 in the end, including installation fee and having the old one hauled away.

Then that's one heck of a deal and much less on the ouchisity. Still, I've always heard good things about the Bosch brand although I've never known anyone who had one. Now that I do, I'll be interested to hear what you think of it in a year or so... How's it do when you throw one sister-in-law in it? Is there much sound to be heard from inside, or is it well insulated? >:)

Never pay full price for anything, that's my motto, with only a few rare exceptions XD

It's definitely quieter than the old one - sadly I think the S-i-L would take up even more than the 4 cu feet....

They came with several recommendations, and this one was the right price, so that narrowed it down fairly quickly!
