He doesn’t want the answer exactly, but not asking would be worse. “What kind of damage?”
“I might have had to blast a small hole in the back wall,” she says. “By the kitchen.”
“You blew up her house?”
Her face slides into a pout. “There’s no need to be so dramatic about it, I said it was small. I even stayed away from the plumbing.”
It's at 61k words, and I can see the end coming! Everything's fully structured out, I just need to write the last few chapters.
