Banners for the brainless
Jan. 1st, 2007 01:29 pmOkay, so once I've got my banner displayed, is there any way to position it so that the top 3/4" doesn't disappear under the 'who am I and do I want to log out' strip at the top? Or is the only way to fix that to add a blank bar the appropriate number of pixels to the top of the banner image?
EDIT: Aha! I've discovered the answer to this part - some layouts give you the margin alteration option and others don't, so it'll be easiest to go with a base layout that will. Why isn't this kind of variation mentioned anywhere in the layer styles info? I've already discovered by trial and panic that some of them remove the image option entirely....
Oh, and is it normal for the colour chooser to completely fail to work? I've selected 'allow custom colours' in the preferences menu, and when I click on 'choose colour' the graphics window opens with the variable colour chart - and I can't click or drag on the sliders, even typing new numbers into the colour shading boxes and clicking 'OK' does absolutely nothing. Do I really have to google a web colour chooser and then type the code sequences into each box on the colours page???
