I really liked the interlude with the guy Sands doesn't kill, and also that El knows there's going to be guys Sands will not walk away from.
I loved that moment where it becomes clear that Sands not being willing to die for El is a factor in his favour. And when he thinks that Sands isn't about love, but about some elements of love, some of the time, and the whole story feels just like that; I love it.
