I finally got around to watching Shang-chi and the Ten Rings, because we just upgraded to a 55" 4K Tv and I wanted to know how our existing dvd player would cope (very well). And...meh.
The zodiac animals were fun, and the whole thing might have been better if it was just done as an ordinary wuxia movie, but I got sick of the fights, the vapid 'philosphy' of the pure, simple folks stuck in a forest who still have incredible technology (like a Chinese version of Wakanda), and the stapled on bits of Marvel lore to yoke it to the whole cinematic universe.
Michelle Yeoh was a delight, and the villain was probably the most interesting character, which isn't saying much. Visually stunning with an empty heart.
Maybe I'm getting sick of Marvel, but then, Loki was soooo good :(
