Cars at Madrona

Two weeks ago, the local Lotus club decided anyone willing should turn up at the weekly Sunday unofficial car meet at Madrona Park. Caterhams are Lotuses by another name, so that included us. I didn't take many photos of the Lotuses, since we've seen most of them regularly at the All British Field Meet, but there were a couple of nice additions, plus the usual bizarre collection of people's pride and joys. (It's funny the cars that some people want to show off - pimped out Audis and VW Golfs just aren't special enough, sorry. I know you love them, but...)
Pair of Lotus Evoras. Carefully photographed not to show the crumpled front left fender on the blue one. Its owner was displeased with his neighbour over that...

The blue Evora's engine.

Gorgeous black Lotus Elan hardtop.

Speaking of the weird things some people are proud of - a Smart car doesn't have much luggage space to start with, so this guy filled all of it with a sound system!

The gorgeous rear of an Alfa roundtail Spyder.

Stunning 1950s Thunderbird. Its owner has had it for more than 40 years.

Black and ivory interior matches the whitewall tyres, plus that lovely porthole window in the hard top.

Triumph TR3 (I think - it was two weeks ago).

The very low front of the Lamborghini makes the Corvette look positively practical! (The Lambo does have a nose lift for speed bumps.)

A Datsun 2000

1970s Nissan Z car, the original Fairlady.

A heavily-modified-by-Saleen Mustang. You can still just about tell there's a Mustang under there if you squint!

Another Mustang, all pimped out and de-badged.

With Trigun and Samurai Champloo characters in the rear window - never take yourself too seriously!

A good sociable morning's outing chatting with people about their cars.
Now I have to get around to the photos and video from the Sevens tour last weekend....
