The really sad thing about the phone call in Mizumono is it changes nothing. It tells the audience a great deal about Will's change of heart, but Hannibal could never just leave without seeing Will, like he says. Hannibal is so hurt and angry over Will's betrayal, he doesn't think about what Will's words actually mean, and consider that Will's trying to save him. Maybe if Hannibal had more time between the phone call and when Jack arrived? Maybe if Abigail had said something different? There's a gap there that we don't get to see, and I'd love to see you play with it.
I've fangirled over many TV shows over the years and known all the individual episodes by name, but they were generally titled in English, with names that actually bore some relation to what happened in the ep. Remembering titles like Su-zakana takes more of an effort!
