Exactly! The stabbing in Mizumono was because Will betrayed him. The head saw came after Will pulled a knife on him. Hannibal's actions with regards to Will started out as psychological violence, not the life-threatening kind. Will initiated the physical violence when he sent Matthew Brown to kill Hannibal.
with Will realizing that his plans about Hannibal rarely survive actual contact with Hannibal.
Poor Will. So often he takes one look at Hannibal and his good intentions of bringing a murderer to justice start to waver... Part of why Hannibal finds Will fascinating is because he can never predict him, but it also makes Will incredibly hard to trust when Will can't even trust himself. Will makes a lot of emotional, spur-of-the-moment reactions that can be either pro-Hannibal (like the phone call in Mizumono) or very anti-Hannibal!
I'm VERY much looking forward to the avalanche of commentary. I love talking to people about my take on Hannigram and seeing where they agree and where they don't :-)))
