TriMax 6 Chapter 3
Apr. 9th, 2005 04:11 pmChapter Three - Cross X Assassins
Sumire's full translation here.
Page 67. Legato muses on Vash. He seems impressed.

Page 68. He remembers Knives flattening him for trying to kill Vash. First mention of the case of coins, as he wonders what will happen if Vash gets them all.

Page 70. Even hanging from the ceiling in a box, Legato's still smug and arrogant. Elendira throws a drink in his face XD.

Page 72. Knives' fortress hide-out.

Page 77. Legato explains the 'Eye of Michael' references in the last chapter - a subset of Plant-worshippers who supply Knives with assassins. Not much seems to stop Legato from smiling....

Page 78. The entrance to Knives' fortress after the two new characters for this chapter have fought their way in. Obviously fairly tough guys.

Page 86. Chapel shows up with the hump-backed minions.

Pages 88-9 The arrival of Livio, currently known as Double Fang. He doesn't seem to have had much trouble with the tough guys who kicked down the gate.

Page 90. Damn, Legato has one freaky tongue as he presents Double Fang with his two halves of a coin.

A fairly short chapter, and a talky one as Nightow sets up the long term plot, hence not too many scans from this one. Juicier stuff next time around!

I love her FMA stuff, and maybe now she'll start doing some Trigun art as well.

Date: 2005-04-09 10:18 pm (UTC)So who's Chapel? I thought Chapel in the manga was Wolfwood's name.
Chapel's the guy who trained Wolfwood, just as he was in the anime. The confusion in the manga arises because all the GHGs, including Midvalley, refer to Wolfwood as 'Chapel'. The full story behind that doesn't come out until TriMax 8, but that flashback scene last chapter with Wolfwood shooting a guy with cross cufflinks was something of a hint XD. If you read manga-based fics that were written before TriMax 8 events became common knowledge, you'll find a lot of Wolfwood being Chapel. Those writers were jossed.

You know all I can think regarding Legato's tongue is "Oooh, he can touch his own nose with his tongue. He'll be the envy of all the kids in the schoolyard." I wouldn't touch the coins though.
Isn't it Wolfwood the Punisher in the manga, Tiggy? I forget.

I wouldn't touch the coins though.
No. Seriously! But Double Fang really doesn't freak out too easily.
Isn't it Wolfwood the Punisher in the manga
Double Fang/Livio refers to him as 'Nicholas the Punisher' or just 'Punisher' a couple of times, but it's unclear whether that's common usage within the Eye of Michael or just him.

Date: 2005-04-12 04:18 pm (UTC)On a 'nother note, I wonder if I'm the only one who loves (should say obsessed) Coffin/Canned/ Legato of the Manga. ._.'' Lol, I'm even making a fansite for him XP. Maybe I prefur overall psychopath then calculated psychopath. (Eventhough I love Anime-gato too...)
