X-Men First Class Drag

The cut scene from X-Men: First Class where Charles visualises Erik in drag finally made it onto teh interwebs. It's at the 3.55 mark in an otherwise fairly routine Japanese promo for the DVD release.

It's a shame they cut it; for starters, the scene makes a lot more sense with it in, with Erik's line about 'we show you ours', and then Charles never shows Angel anything, which just seems odd. It also helps break the ice with Angel, and makes it more likely that she would agree to go off with these two strange guys. Plus, it's just cute to see Charles using his ability for something fun for once :-)

I'm not surprised in the least! I'm only surprised it didn't get the big red pen treatment at script stage, before it was filmed. But that scene does feel like there's a hole in it, the way it's been left.

I know the writer, director and actors knew long in advance, so I'm guessing it must have been one of the production or marketing suits.

Have you seen some of the interviews with McAvoy and Fassbender? Those guys don't stop with the characters, they go out of their way to feed the RPS folks too.
