"I imagine we’ll ambush you eventually.” Fi’s eyes go very wide, and one hell of a long way from innocent. “Unless you have some objection?”

“I’m not gonna be objecting to anything, Fi,” and he follows up with his leeriest grin. “I just think you should give a guy fair warning is all.”

Her lips spread into something distinctly sharkish. “Then consider yourself warned.” She pulls a sweater over her head, flicks her hair free, and strolls out.

Mike looks at him with raised eyebrows. “Anything, Sam? You might have wanted a different word there, she’ll take that one as a challenge.”
