Back home! Again!

Just arrived back after last night's Police concert at the Gorge. It was a good time, because it was The Police and it was all the songs we know and love, and it was The Gorge in the sun and then in the still, warm evening dark. But I have to say they didn't really put on a show, they just played and sang. They only twice used the video wall for anything other than themselves made bigger. Whereas Rush really put a lot of effort into crazy animations, and creating a mood and making it *fun*, and The Police concert just didn't have as much energy. So even though I like The Police more, I'd be more likely to go and see Rush live again.

And Sting needs to shave, seriously. The heavily greying beard is not exactly making him look any younger!

The people in the next hotel room set their alarm for 6.30am and then left before it went off. So not only were we treated to their loud conversation and laughter outside our door at 5.50, we then had to listen to loud bleeping through the wall half an hour later. And unlike many alarms, it didn't turn off after thirty seconds. Hence the mood descriptor.
