Chapter Five - 'DEATH DEAL'

Page 124. Once Midvalley's been shot multiple times, Legato drives over him with the bike just to make sure.
Page 125. Hopperd screams again, and Vash's wing grabs hold of the bike.
Page 126. Hopperd's gun on Wolfwood under Legato's control, Wolfwood's on Legato. And then there's Vash.
Page 127. Vash crawls further out from under the rubble. He's got those blank eyes again, like when July went up....
Page 130. The situation is further shaken up by the arrival of an unfamiliar person with some very familiar attendants.
Page 131. A new Zazie has been created to replace the dead one. Luckily, Wolfwood has another gun for the latest target.
Page 134. Hopperd slowly moves his gun from Wolfwood and turns it on Legato. Wolfwood realises Legato's using everything he's got just to hang onto Vash.
Page 136. So it's Wolfwood with guns on Legato and Zazie, Zazie with guns on Wolfwood and Hopperd, and Hopperd taking aim at Legato. And Vash still holding the bike, frozen by Legato.
Pages 138-9. Meryl comes diving out of the hole in the rubble Vash made, screaming as she fires...
Page 143. ...and 'tis a stand-off no more, bullets everywhere. Hopperd shoots Legato in the face, and Wolfwood gets Zazie in the leg while she hits his shoulder.
Page 144. Legato loses his grip on Vash, who flips the bike. Getting shot in the face doesn't seem so good for the mental concentration.
Page 148. Legato reanimates Midvalley's body because Nightow is twisted and freaky XD
Page 150. Vash forms a really big Angel gun. This makes everyone unhappy.
Page 152. And someone fires a huge nail straight through both the hand of Legato's Bearer and the tip of the Angel gun.
I just love Nightow's freaky, freaky brain :-)

Date: 2005-04-01 08:43 pm (UTC)Well, a number of Knives' assassins keep fighting long after anyone else would be dying, so it probably pays to be careful! Knives has some pretty weird and awesome medical technology on tap, and that explains Legato too.
Man, I seriously want the manga now.
And so my work is done :-) Didn't you know by now? It's my mission in life to make everyone love the manga!

Ah, you can tell the passion's still there when they can still manage to surprise one another XD
You know what I think is the sweetest thing about all this? Wolfwood's looking at a Vash who's morphed into this crazy alien with giant wings about to blow them all away, and he still thinks of him as 'Tongari'. At no point is there a 'WTF is that?'
