A few days ago I read this newsarse commentary on the Pope and his sidekicks with some amusement. Today I find myself reading about his Palm Sunday address to the faithful.
Remind me again which one's the satire?

I left the Church thirty years ago. It's hard to have faith in an institution that basically has no faith in you.

I'm fairly willing to believe that paedophiles might be attracted to a profession that lauds celibacy, thinking God could help them refrain from acting on their desires - until they discover it doesn't work that way. It's probably no coincidence this is a Catholic church scandal far more than other Christian denominations.
