Yes, but then I'd have to carry the iPod touch AND the phone for insurance. Two gadgets taking up twice the space makes no sense when they can all fit in one box.

We went to the AT&T store, not the Apple store - we were strongly recommended to do it that way, since the Apple store can't actually sell you a working phone connection!
