Well, there's nothing much good about Ellensburg per se (apart from some nice truckers, apparently). The scenery of that whole region between Ellensburg and Vantage, OTOH, can be quite stunning, and it has some nice flowers and wildlife living in it :-)
And oh yeah, the weather tends to be nice there in summer, when it's wet in Seattle XD
