The State of the Employment

Well, so far the boss is playing nice from a distance, and has confirmed that I can go to SF, so I have offered to be available to work until 15th December, to give him chance to replace me.

This may still potentially change at short notice. I've seen a couple of other staff members go from flavour of the month to being treated appallingly between the time they handed in their notice and when they actually left. If he starts any of that passive-aggressive BS or bitching behind my back with me, I'm not going to stick around for it.

Time will tell....

I'm glad things seem to be going okay (and yay for time off to go to SF!). I hope it works out in the end and you can transition out smoothly and move on to better things!

On a personal level, I really couldn't care less whether we part ways amicably or not (in fact, 'not' would allow me to get out of this place earlier and feel no guilt!) But more practically, it would be nice if I could have a positive reference available if I ever need one.

The best part of what's been going on over the last few months is that I'm typically working at the branch where the boss is not. I see him once a week, if that. I haven't actually seen him in person yet since I gave my notice.

Wow. How nice of him to confim you can have the time off to go to SF -- after how many weeks he left you hanging? And only now after you gave him notice? *rolls eyes*

Tomorrow's going to be a late night for me. Immediately after work Teni must be carted to the vet for a follow-up on her toe. We're hoping she can get the bandages off this time. Then, when I get home I need to pack for my conference up north. Wednesday is work and leaving to travel around 2 pm. Will be back late Friday night.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed not to have any hotel horror stories this time. I shouldn't as it's a Marriott, but you never know. XD

Do you have time this weekend? I was thinking of calling you last Saturday but didn't know if I'd be bothering you or not...

Saturdays are bad for me, since I work. Sundays are fairly random from week to week, since if I go out and do stuff with friends, that will be the day.
