Some days are just perfect
When the whole day's in the seventies and you can jump into a convertible and feel the sun on your skin and the wind sweeping past and roaring in your ears. When you can drive through forest and mountains and beyond into rolling desert hills broken by the ancient scars of deep canyons and river gorges, watching the world unfold endless around you. When no matter how far you go or where you stop, you can never run out of things to see. When you can come home and wash off the sunscreen and soak in the bath with a drink and a good book.
Sadly, it's a bit broken now by the fact that it's my turn to cook, but it's still been a damn good day :-)

Unfortunately for me, today was spent dealing with the first day of summer semester, getting off work late only to have to wait over half an hour so I didn't drown or get beaten to death by hail while running out to my car in a parking lot that was under water.
Wanna trade days and I'll cook dinner? XD

It would probably have been far tastier than mine XD The potatoes O'Brien got a bit burned along the way, despite me following the instructions, but neither of us claim to be cooks!

Heh. Depends on how you feel about onigiri and umeboshi. XD
Given enough time, I make a killer lasagne or chicken enchiladas or yakisoba or tempura or moooooooooo (teriyaki beef)... ;p

Of course, you're a genius, my dear, you're a friend of mine. It's a very exclusive club, you know ;-)

Lunch in the sun is always a delight. And baths, damn, I don't know for sure which civilisation invented the hot bath, but they were true hedonists like me :-)
