Red Notice
This film was what I expected - very silly, overall fine rather than great, but definitely had its moments. The three leads all do what they're good at. It was exactly the right film to watch while I sorted stuff into boxes and decided what's going to the charity shop and what's staying.
A productive Saturday afternoon! (Although there's more sorting to come, definitely not done yet...)

Eh? What's going on? Did I miss something? Are you moving?

We might actually move temporarily at some point in the not entirely distant future. We've been in this house for 15 years now. All the carpets need replacing, the kitchen needs doing, there are some rather dodgy electricals resulting in sockets that we've taped over and don't use, and there are still some very 1970s elements to the decor that I've been looking at askance from the start (namely the textured wall coatings). We could do all of it piecemeal spread over years with hassle involved every time or we could just bite the bullet. So a couple of weeks ago I suggested to Tom that we move into a rental house for 6 months and just gut the place, have everything rewired, have the internet wired in to downstairs to make it faster, and replenish all the aged decor. And Tom surprised me immensely by not saying, 'OMG that would be too much hassle to move out,' but actually taking it seriously. It absolutely would be major hassle, but probably not more than trying to live in the house while all that was done! Just having new carpets and moving all the furniture around from room to room is a major faff. Or trying to cook in a half done kitchen.

If you can throw enough money at the problems to fix them all at the same time and while you are not in residence, I'm sure this will be terrific for you. Hope it works out well.
