When something really is just that good

I adored Wild Adapter when I first saw the scans and found out the basic premise and plot. I adored it all over again when I read scanlations of the first few volumes. And now I'm completely lost in it for a third time with the English manga releases.

I forget in between, each time, just how fabulous it really is.

On a scale from Death Note to Monster, where would WA fit? :p

Definitely closer to Death Note - far too many of the main characters in Monster are actually nice :-) WA has a lot of violence. And drugs and yakuza. And sociopaths. Never forget the sociopaths....

Ooooh, drugs and yakuza *and* sociopaths? Everyone should have at least ONE sociopath in their lives. *pets resident sociopath gently* =D

Somewhere on one of the hard drives, I know I've got the scanlations. Will have to take a look-see now. Thanks for moving that title up for me :)

If you can't find them, I can send them on to you. Emerald Eyes have taken down the first three volumes now that the licensed releases are out.

WA's rather odd in that the whole of the first volume is very much a prologue, with one of the main characters only turning up on the last couple of pages. But it's a very good prologue :-)
