The annoying thing is there are academics out there who are into the study of fandom and slash/yaoi, as opposed to treating it as a distasteful sideline to 'Modern Japanese Literature and Film'. Perhaps one of them might have had some clue about the subject instead of taking bizarre pseudo-feminist guesses.
