Lilo and Stitch is a brilliant example of how a kid's film should be done. It's not all syrupy sweet, there's quite enough malicious wickedness in there to entertain anyone, and there are plenty of sly jokes aimed at adults. And, inevitably, it was a concept Disney didn't much like and didn't hold out much hope for, so it was made by a small group of people who weren't constantly being checked on by suits. No wonder it turned out great!
