The Luida thing gets kind of over-shadowed by all the interesting Plant stuff going on in this chapter, but I really like seeing something of her background, and the flaws behind that amazingly cool and take-no-shit front. And Meryl's allowed to see it because she's an outsider, not one of the ship folk (and so that andmydog can ship them XD).

I think it's close to impossible to grow up on that ship and not crush on Vash at some point.
