Can it be warm now please?

You have to go back to the 1950s to find another April with average temperatures as low as this one so far in our area.

Today I went on a birding trip to eastern Washington. On two previous occasions, I have birded those same areas at the same time of year with temperatures over 70 F/21C. Today we managed a high of 56F/13C.

I would like it to be spring, preferably before May.

Yeah, this year has been RIDICULOUS. The novelty of cold in April has more than worn off.

Hot. Cold. Hot. Cold. Cold. Cold. Fucking COLD.

Bleh.

This whole winter has been awful and the temperatures all off. I hope you get your spring. Long before May, preferably. *hugs*

And then maybe we'll have nice weather in May, only to get hit with the usual chilly, cloudy weather in June. Sweet!

Don't complain too much - I'd be delighted to take some hot as a change from the cold now and then, in a way that didn't involve me travelling thousands of miles to find it!

The temperatures are those of February, which is a bit depressing :-(

Changeable I expect around here, solidly unpleasant has lost its appeal.

Meanwhile for the past few weeks ours have been 15 degrees higher than average.

Yeah, that's part of why chunks of Texas are on fire, I guess :-(

It snowed yesterday. IT FUCKING SNOWED.

[identity profile] tiggymalvern.livejournal.com 2011-04-23 04:27 am (UTC)(link)
I did not experience it myself, but the bus driver who brought me back from the airport on Monday reported hail earlier in the day. I'm glad I missed that!

I'm just so DONE with all the snow. But the snow is not done with me, apparently. Ugh.

That and we had a long stretch in there with single digit humidity. And wind, but we always have wind. All told, a bad combination for fires. My area has been fine so far, but we've been under a fire watch pretty much daily for the past few weeks.
